The request
The school asked on 12 September through the request form: a middle and high school whose staff and students needed a working connection to teach and learn. It passed review and went on the shortlist.
The kits
Tommy, a volunteer in Nigeria, bought five Starlink Standard kits with mounts in Asaba on 15 September for ₦3,900,000. Two of them went to this school, two to Gemstone International School in Takoradi, Ghana on 18 September. One is left for the next place on the shortlist.
The school said yes
The principal signed the acceptance on 14 September: two complete kits, professional installation and the first calendar month of service, at no cost to the school. In return the school names a staff member responsible for the equipment and sends a short update on how it is used three months after installation.
Handover
Two kits at the school on 16 September, and every student who wanted to be in the photo.
On the roof
The ladder came up a little short, so the team finished the job with a stack of school chairs. The dish went up, and the Starlink app confirmed it was aligned.
